Heather Walker
A Maine Girl at Heart
Hi, I’m Heather Walker — a Maine girl at heart who spent over two decades living in New York City before eventually finding my way back home. Most people know me through different chapters of my life. Some know me through growing up in Maine, my time in New York, some through advocacy work, some through pageantry or new relationships I have created since moving back-and others through the very real, unfiltered parts of life that I’ve chosen to speak openly about. The truth is, every chapter helped shape who I am today.
I was born in Castine, Maine and raised in Scarborough before heading to New York City, where I spent 23 years building a life, raising my three daughters, and learning more about resilience than I ever expected to. Along the way, I earned degrees in special and general education, later specializing in autism studies, and spent years working with children and families navigating challenges that often go unseen by the outside world. That experience changed me deeply and taught me how important compassion, patience, and connection truly are.

Life hasn’t always looked polished behind the scenes. Like many people, I’ve experienced grief, major life changes, anxiety, rebuilding, loss, healing, and moments where I had to completely rediscover myself. There were seasons where I felt strong and seasons where I felt completely lost. What I’ve learned through all of it is that growth rarely happens in comfortable places.

Realization Changed Everything.
At one point, I realized I didn’t want to spend my life simply surviving it. I wanted to truly live it. That realization changed everything.
Today, I’m a real estate agent with the Walker Team at Signature Homes, an advocate for causes close to my heart, a speaker, a creator, and proudly Miss Maine for America Strong 2026. More than anything though, I’m someone who believes in real conversations, authentic connection, and reminding people that it’s never too late to reinvent themselves. Outside of work and advocacy, some of the things I love most are traveling, creating meaningful community events, spending time near the ocean, fashion and styling, personal growth, interior design, cheering people on through life transitions, and
making memories with my three daughters. I’m also someone who thrives on creativity — whether that’s building new ideas, creating content, hosting conversations that matter, or turning a simple vision into something impactful. I’m not interested in pretending life is perfect. I think there’s something powerful about being honest about where you’ve been while still choosing hope for where you’re going.
This website is simply an extension of that — a place where passion, purpose, creativity, advocacy, and community all meet in one space.
